HAL SCHWARTZ - PRESIDENT

Hal Schwartz is the President of Bull Market Entertainment. Schwartz recently produced the company's third film, Authors Anonymous, which will be released in North America by the partnership of Screen Media and Starz. Internationally, the film will be released by Spotlight Pictures.

Schwartz was the lead producer on the company's second film, Wake, which starred Bijou Phillips, Ian Somerhalder, Jane Seymour and Danny Masterson. It world premiered in front of a sold-out crowd as the Opening Night film at the 19th edition of the prestigious Cinequest Film Festival in San Jose, California. Wake was released domestically by indie studio eOne Films on DVD and Digital platforms. It had its domestic pay cable debut on Showtime and was also licensed to premium pay cable station Starz. Screen Media is distributing the film internationally and it sold in more than 75 territories.

Schwartz’s first film was the successful independent feature film, crazylove, which debuted at the Hollywood Film Festival and was distributed worldwide by PorchLight Entertainment. crazylove had its American broadcast premiere on Lifetime and was released on DVD by MTI Entertainment. The film has been distributed in over 85 international territories.

Prior to producing crazylove, Schwartz helped select some of Hollywood’s biggest projects while working for numerous major entertainment companies, including Scott Free Productions, Lobell-Bergman, Savoy Pictures, Seagall/Nasso, and AMG/APG. He currently has several films in development, including Sisters in Crime, with Wake writer/producer Lennox Wiseley and director Adam Stein and Bitter,where he will once again team up with Ellie Kanner.

A graduate of the USC Graduate Screenwriting Program and the NYU School of Law, Schwartz brings together a rare combination of business and artistic abilities. Born in New York, he did his undergraduate work at the prestigious School of Speech at Northwestern University, earning a Bachelor of Science in Radio/TV/Film.
